English and Math Placement

Do you know which English and math classes you should be taking next semester? 

Hancock is breaking down barriers to enrolling in various transfer-level English and math classes so that you can graduate and/or transfer to a four-year university sooner. Find out how below.

STEP 1:

 

FILL OUT THE ADMISSIONS APPLICATION ONLINE

You will need…

  • high school transcripts (or previous education information)
  • a social security number, if you have one
  • an email address

The answers provided on your admissions application regarding your last completed high school English and math classes and high school GPA are used for placement.

STEP 2:

DISCUSS YOUR ENGLISH AND MATH PLACEMENT

Visit a counselor at any of these Hancock locations: Counseling Department (Santa Maria Campus, Lompoc Valley, Vandenberg and Santa Ynez Valley centers), EOPSLAPUTCMESASTEMCAN, or Career Center.
