Cash for College Travels to Paso Robles High School
NOVEMBER 17, 2025-- Allan Hancock College’s financial aid office, in partnership with Paso Robles High School, Cuesta College, Cal Poly and the Central Coast Cal-SOAP Consortium, will host a two-day financial aid application event on Nov. 19–20, 2025, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Paso Robles High School’s Bearcat Hall.
The event will provide seniors from Paso Robles, Liberty and Independence high schools with handson support to complete their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or California Dream Act applications before the upcoming priority deadline.
This year, all PRHS seniors are required to attend and complete a financial aid application if they have not already done so.
Financial aid experts and high school counselors will be available to help students
create accounts,
complete applications, and answer questions about college financial aid. Students
who complete their
applications with a parent by Nov. 20 will receive a free burger from Sylvester’s
Burgers.
Parents are invited to attend a follow-up Cash for College event on Dec. 4, from 3:30–7 p.m. in the Paso Robles High School computer lab to complete their portion of the financial aid application.
“This event is part of an ongoing regional effort to ensure every Central Coast student
has the
opportunity to access the financial aid they need to pursue higher education,” said
Diana Perez,
Hancock Project Director for Cal-SOAP and the Cal-SOAP Consortium.
