United Central Coast
In October 2023, Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo county leaders convened to announce UnitED Central Coast, a regional effort addressing higher education needs.
In January 2024, Hancock submitted a Bachelor of Sciences in Applied Professional Studies program to the state, aiming to supply local businesses with entry-level professionals for various sectors.
The degree review involves a scoring committee from the community college system, with recommendations expected in early June 2024. Pending approval, the degree is set to launch in fall 2025.
