Deputy Probation Officer CORE Academy (LE 432)

Public Safety Training Complex
One Hancock Drive, Lompoc, CA 93436

The Allan Hancock College Deputy Probation Officer CORE Academy is a five-week program certified statewide by the California STC. It prepares students for employment as probation officers or supports those already serving in the role.

The academy challenges students academically and physically in a disciplined, structured environment while teaching the core duties of probation officers.

Classes run Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m., for five consecutive weeks. Full attendance is required; limited absences may be made up through instructor-approved assignments.

Our staff is here to answer questions and support your training. The CORE Academy is your first step toward a career as a deputy probation officer.
