Firearms Training Facility

The California Commission on Peace Officers Standards and Training (POST) requires that all Basic Course Academy recruits demonstrate shooting competencies during both daylight and nighttime hours.

The Lompoc Valley Center’s state-of-the-art facility serves as a premier training location for law enforcement recruits to acquire basic skills, as well as tactical and emergency response qualifications in a realistic environment.  The campus also serves Fire, EMS, Paramedic, CORE Custody, and Probation students and the needs of local, regional, and state public agencies.
