How to Audition for the Dance Team 2024-2025 Season:
AUDITION INFORMATION FOR DANCE TEAM
We are currently seeking technical dancers to perform within the community and compete in UDA/NDA regional and National competitions. Those selected for the team will need to enroll in all classes required for the commercial dance certificate (Please refer to the commercial dance certificate course requirements on our dance program homepage).
Additional forms will be distributed on the day of auditions.
Auditions will be held on Friday, April 19th from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. in room F-142 at the Santa Maria Campus.
Styles performed and competed by the dance team include Jazz, Hip Hop, Contemporary, and Pom.
How to Audition for Fall 2024 Dance Concert:
AUDITION INFORMATION FOR Fall 2024 Dance Concert
We are looking for dancers to perform in our live stage performance, Dimensions in Dance. Those chosen to perform in the concert will be directed to register for the following course/s: DANC 183-Dance Ensemble. Please fill out the online form, print the "Supplemental Information Forms" and bring them to audition day on Wednesday, May 15. Arrive at 2:30pm and be prepared to dance by 3:00pm in F-142.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR:
1. Dance experience
2. Ballet, Jazz and Modern dance experience
WHAT TO BRING TO AUDITION DAY:
1. 4x6 head shot of yourself
2. Resume (if you have one)
3. Character shoes, jazz shoes, ballet shoes and salsa heels
4. Dance wear you can move in and character shoes
5. Fall class schedule (if taking general ed classes), and work schedule
