Embed Library Videos Using the Apps Tools in Canvas
In Canvas, in your selected page, use the Apps tool under the "plug" symbol located in the tool bar to embed videos from the library film database, Films on Demand. Selecting Films On Demand opens a search for videos by keyword. Search by topic or title, then select with the Embed button.
Embed Streaming Videos in Canvas
First, navigate to the library's A-Z Database page and select the film database to embed video(s) from- Academic Video Online or SWANK. Search and select a video, copy the embed code, and in Canvas, paste the code using "Embed" under Insert.
Permalinks, Not PDFs
Accessibility standards and copyright requirements stipulate that you should post
and share permalinks to library resources, not PDFs. Databases and records in the
library catalog have a permalink option at the article level. For eBooks, permalinks
are available at the book and the page level. In a database or eBook platform, just
look for the permalink or share symbol ![]()
