Cal-Grant The Cal Grant Program is funded by the state of California. The program helps California residents afford an education at a California college. The California Student Aid Commission (CSAC) is the state agency in charge of the grant. It determines student eligibility and the type of Cal Grant the student will receive. Federal Pell Grant Federal Pell Grants usually are awarded only to undergraduate students who display exceptional financial need and have not earned a bachelor's, graduate, or professional degree. Federal Supplemental Education Opportunity Grant (FSEOG) The FSEOG program is administered directly by the financial aid office at each participating school. Not all schools participate. Check with your school's financial aid office to find out if the school offers the FSEOG	Grant: free money that doesn't need to be repaid	US Citizen and Permanent Resident undergraduate students with exceptional financial needs	$150-$750 depending on availability of school
Federal Work-Study (FWS) FWS provides part-time jobs for undergraduate and graduate students with financial need, allowing them to earn money to help pay education expenses. The program encourages community service work and work related to the student’s course of study. Student Success Completion Grant (SSCG) The SSCG is a financial aid program for Cal Grant B recipients attending a California community college full-time (12 units or more).
