ADN/RN-to-BSN Program

Track II ADN/RN to BSN has 2 admission options:

Spring Admission:
August 1 - November 1

Summer Admission:
December 1 - March 31

Apply for admission through Cal State Apply

You will be required to submit all transcripts from all institutions attended in Cal State Apply. 

You will be notified of your admissions status by email.  If you are accepted, and once your submit all of your documents, you wil receive an Intent to Enroll form. 

An overall GPA of a 2.5 or greater is required.  Prerequisites must be completed with a grade of C or better.  

  • Must be currently enrolled at Hancock's registered nursing program
  • ENGL C1000- Academic Reading and Writing (formerly ENGL 101) 
  • STAT C1000- Intro to Statistics (formerly MATH 123)  
  • COMM C1000- Public Speaking (formerly COMM 101)
  • ENGL C1001- Critical Thinking and Writing (formerly ENGL 103) or PHIL 114 Critical Thinking
  • PSYC C1000- Intro to Psychology (formerly PSY 101) 
  • U.S. History course: History 107, 108, 118, 121, or ES 121
  • Political Science course: POLS 101 or C1000
  • BIOL 124- Anatomy
  • BIOL 125- Physiology
  • BIOL 128- Microbiology
  • CHEM 140- Intro to Organic and Biochemistry or CHEM 150- General Chemistry I

Highly recommended to complete Cal-GETC prior to starting the nursing program.  Once completed, request Cal-GETC certifcication with a counselor.  Students with a bachelor's degree may not be required to complete Cal-GETC.  See a counselor for more information.
