FYE@AHC empowers first-year students to build academic confidence, strengthen their sense of belonging, and achieve their educational goals through holistic, culturally responsive support beginning on day one.

FYE Program Learning Outcomes (PLOs)
PLO 1: College Navigation & Resource Use
Students will identify, explain the purpose of, and appropriately use key campus resources,
services, and support networks.
PLO 2: Educational & Career Planning
Students will develop and maintain an intentional academic and career plan aligned
to their goals.
PLO 3: Onboarding Readiness
Students will demonstrate readiness to start strong by completing required onboarding
milestones.
PLO 4: Academic Engagement & Help-Seeking
Students will engage in proactive academic behaviors and seek support to enhance learning.
PLO 5: Persistence & Momentum
Students will sustain enrollment and demonstrate first-year momentum toward completion/transfer
goals.

Students will use college tools to monitor their progress and make timely decisions.
