Allan Hancock College Community Education offers tuition-free, noncredit courses in green landscape and gardening. These courses are designed for students at all levels, from beginners to experienced landscapers and industry professionals. Students build practical skills in sustainable gardening, landscape maintenance, plant care, and water-conscious practices.
Students may earn a Certificate of Completion while gaining knowledge that supports employment and career advancement. Courses are offered in partnership with the County of Santa Barbara Water Agency to provide industry-relevant training and resources.

Green Landscape and Gardening Certificate Requirements
VOCE 7622 - Green Gardening: Beginning
- This survey course combines discussion, demonstration, and interactive exercises to focus on resource conservation and pollution prevention in the landscape.
*Prerequisite for VOCE 7623
VOCE 7623 - Green Gardening: Advanced
- This course combines discussion, demonstration, and interactive exercises to develop detailed skill sets focused on resource conservation and pollution prevention in the landscape.
