Fine Arts Faculty Show Opens at Foxworthy Gallery

JANUARY 26, 2026-- Allan Hancock College’s Fine Arts faculty are showcasing a wide range of creative work during the Fine Arts Faculty Show, on view February 9 through March 12 at the Ann Foxworthy Gallery on the college’s Santa Maria campus. 

The exhibition features work by Hancock’s Fine Arts instructors across multiple disciplines and media, highlighting the depth and diversity of creative practices shaping contemporary art today. An opening reception will be held February 11 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. The exhibit and reception are free and open to the public. 

“Our Fine Arts faculty are accomplished artists and dedicated educators who model what it means to engage with art as a lifelong practice,” said Elizabeth Russell, Foxworthy Gallery co-director. “This exhibition gives our community the opportunity to experience the breadth of ideas, materials, and approaches our faculty bring to both their studios and their classrooms.” 

The show includes a wide range of media and artistic approaches, reflecting the varied backgrounds and specialties of Hancock’s Fine Arts faculty. Together, the works offer insight into the evolving conversations taking place in contemporary art while celebrating the creative excellence that informs instruction at the college. 

The Ann Foxworthy Gallery is located in building L on Hancock’s Santa Maria campus. Gallery hours are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is free.
