Registration Open for Winter & Spring Classes at Hancock
NOVEMBER 13, 2025-- Allan Hancock College is inviting new and returning students to register now for winter and spring 2026 classes, which offer hundreds of opportunities to earn a degree, transfer to a university, gain job skills or explore new interests.
Open registration for both terms began Nov. 6, with classes available in a wide range of subjects and flexible formats across Hancock’s Santa Maria campus, Lompoc Valley Center, and online. Winter session classes begin Dec. 15, and spring semester classes start Jan. 20.
“Winter and spring are great times for students to stay on track, get ahead, or start
something new,” said Allan Hancock College Superintendent/President Kevin G. Walthers,
Ph.D. “We want our students to know that Hancock is here to help them earn a degree,
train for their career or continue their education by transferring to a university.”
To support students every step of the way, Hancock offers free textbooks and bus passes,
financial aid, tutoring and more. Dedicated staff and counselors are also available
to help students plan their class schedules, apply for aid, and access academic support
services.
Current Associated Student Body Government President Annie Ruiz said Hancock’s resources
and personal support from faculty have been instrumental in her success.
“Every class you take at Hancock helps shape who you are and the kind of future you’ll
have,” Ruiz said. “Don’t be afraid to invest in yourself.”
This winter and spring, Hancock is also continuing its Lompoc Valley Center degree
programs, allowing students to complete degrees in business administration, math and
science, social and behavioral sciences and psychology without commuting to the Santa
Maria campus.
In addition to credit classes, Hancock Community Education offers tuition-free noncredit
winter and spring classes, including English Language Development (ELDN), citizenship,
workplace preparation, GED preparation, basic skills, commercial truck driving, floral
design, income tax preparation, and more.
Community Education also offers a variety of fee-based classes, such as College for
Kids youth dance, financial literacy, adult exercise, notary, CPR, introductory Chinese,
sewing, and art.
