Hancock College's Boy Hall Hosting Four Concerts in September and October

SEPTEMBER 23,2024-- Allan Hancock College’s Boyd Concert Hall will be filled with music over the coming weeks as the college hosts multiple concerts in September and October.
All scheduled concerts will be open to the public and include talented students from
the college’s music program.
On Sept. 27, students from the college's applied music program will present a lunchtime
concert featuring solo performances on voice, piano, guitar, and other instruments.
The concert will take place from 12-1:30 p.m. and is free and open to the public.
The college’s jazz band will host a concert on Oct. 4 from 7:30-9 p.m. The ensemble
of student and community musicians will perform selections featuring swing, ballad,
rock and Latin styles with many soloists featured.
On Oct. 7, Hancock’s symphonic band will host a concert from 7:30-9 p.m. featuring
a variety of musical selections from traditional band works to contemporary music
and more.
Tickets for both the jazz and symphonic concerts are $10 for general admission or
$8 for four or more tickets. Students can get in for free with their student ID. Tickets
can be purchased at the door or online via the college’s Fine Arts events page.
To end the month of October, the college’s applied music students will return to Boyd
Hall for another free lunchtime recital on Oct. 25 from 12-1:30 p.m.
Boyd Hall is located in the Fine Arts Complex (bldg. F) on Hancock’s Santa Maria campus.
