AHC to Host “Hancock Hello” Orientation Events

JULY 22, 2022 -- Allan Hancock College is hosting its popular “Hancock Hello” student orientation events at both its Santa Maria campus and Lompoc Valley Center in August. These free, in-person orientations are open to new and returning Hancock students, as well as their parents.

The first Hancock Hello will be held on Aug. 2 at the Lompoc Valley Center, followed by a second Hancock Hello event on Aug. 9 at the college’s Santa Maria campus. Both events will take place from 4-7 p.m. This is the first year the college is hosting a Hancock Hello event at its Lompoc Valley Center campus.

The Hancock Hello events are designed to welcome students and introduce them to the college’s many resources. Both Hancock Hello events will feature multiple informative workshop sessions in English and Spanish. Workshop topics include financial aid, tips for college success, and how parents can support their college-going children.

Attendees will also be able to take a guided tour of their respective campuses and visit information booths to learn more about student clubs, college academic programs and student support services.
