AHC Viticulture and Enology Club Host 5k Fun Run

MAY 4, 2022 -- Allan Hancock College’s Viticulture and Enology Club is inviting community members to get outdoors and support future Central Coast winemakers by participating in a 5k fun run and walk at the college’s Santa Maria campus.

The club’s inaugural 5k fun run and walk is open to all ages and skill levels and will take place on Saturday, May 7, from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Check-in time for the race will be at 8 a.m. at the registration booth near the entrance of the college’s track and parking lot 8, located on the west side of campus off South College Drive.

The 5k route will begin at the track near the Joe White Memorial Gym and travel in and around the campus before ending at the AHC Winery. All participants will receive a shirt at registration and a medal upon completion.

Proceeds from the 5k fun run and walk will support the AHC Viticulture and Enology Club, which provides support, resources, networking and industry-related activities for students enrolled in the college’s viticulture and enology program. Tickets are $45 for general admission and $35 for Hancock students and staff.
