Panelist Bios

Julio Castillo is a seasoned software engineering leader and technologist who leverages decades of experience building and managing large-scale systems for global corporations and agile startups to democratize innovation through social entrepreneurship. With a deep technical foundation in cloud architecture, system integration, and the deployment of enterprise-grade Generative AI, he most recently navigated the complex data guardrails and legal frameworks of AI implementation for a major e-commerce firm. Currently, he is the founder of a GenAI-enabled incubator dedicated to community college students, utilizing his Ideation Discipline System and rapid AI-assisted validation models to empower new innovators. By bridging the gap between technical expertise and digital transformation, he focuses on helping students solve local friction points and launch sustainable micro-businesses.


Andy Maltz is the Founder and Principal of General Intelligence, a media technology consultancy. With over 40 years of experience pioneering and deploying technologies for the entertainment industry, Andy’s career has spanned entrepreneurship, executive leadership in commercial and nonprofit enterprises, and international standards. He recently completed a seven-year term as chair of ISO/TC 36 Cinematography and continues to serve as a U.S. expert on its Artificial Intelligence Ad Hoc Group as well as on industry and academic advisory committees.

Andy’s career includes high-impact roles as the founding head of staff of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ Science and Technology Council and as a founding board member of the Academy Software Foundation. As the former CEO of digital cinema pioneer Avica Technology Corp., he helped lead the industry’s transition to digital projection. A recipient of two Engineering Emmy Awards and a fellow of the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers, Andy co-authored the award-winning The Digital Dilemma research reports on digital preservation. He holds several patents and earned his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Buffalo.


Onur Uzunismail is a software engineer, entrepreneur, and small business owner on the Central Coast of California. Runs Uzunu (a software consultancy specializing in custom software, AI, and automation for small businesses) and YouGrow (a full-service web design and Digital Marketing service that has AI Employees). Writes about multi-agent AI workflows, model evaluation, and building AI-powered tools as well as explorations in audio, music, and visual arts.

Background in chemical engineering, sound engineering, motion design, and electronic music. Has worked on projects for AMC/Better Call Saul and Microsoft, as well as building websites and applications that serve thousands of people daily; implemented the first AI integration in 2019 for live voice transcription. 

Leslie Wagonseller is the Executive Director of Technology and Education Services at Orcutt Union School District, where she leads IT and educational technology to support innovation and safe learning environments. With 38 years of experience across teaching, site administration, and district leadership in California and Nevada, she brings deep, practical expertise to her work. Leslie specializes in professional development focused on emerging technologies, including AI literacy and digital citizenship. She holds a Master of Education from UNLV and currently serves as President of ACSA Region 13 (2024–2026), regularly presenting on educational technology and leadership.
