Construction Update:
Fine Arts Complex

Fine Arts Complex Groundbreaking

Join us virtually on Wednesday, Sept. 30, at 10 a.m., as we begin construction on the new Fine Arts Complex. Funding for the facility has been made possible in part by Bond Measure I and by the generous support from the estate of former faculty member Patricia Boyd. Measure I was passed by the electorate in 2006 to support facility and technology improvements at Allan Hancock College.

ASL interpreter services and live captioning is available by request. Please call ext. 3396 or 1-805-266-7874 VP or email to make arrangements three working days prior to the event.

The Fine Arts Complex is a new 88,000 gross square-foot, two-story building that includes visual arts, multimedia and applied design, photography, film and video, dance, music, and recital hall. The project consolidates all of the fine arts and performing arts (except theatre arts) currently in buildings D, E, F, O, and S, into one Fine Arts Complex.

The architectural contract for the college's Fine Arts Complex was granted to DLR Group. Under the proposed schedule, officials anticipate the project to be complete by October 2022.
