Hancock's Winter and Spring Class Schedules Now Available Online; Registration for Both Semesters Starts November 13

Classes include accounting, drama, history, and much more!

NOVEMBER 9, 2018--Students at Allan Hancock College will be able to register for both winter and spring 2019 classes in November. The college’s schedules of winter and spring classes are now live on the college’s website, www.hancockcollege.edu. Registration for both semesters begins Tuesday, November 13.

Winter session begins the week of December 17. The college will offer 30 classes that run five weeks or less. Nearly all of the options are online classes that meet GE requirements for Hancock and four-year universities, including those in the California State University and University of California systems. Topics range from accounting to drama, health education, history and psychology just to name a few.

Spring classes begin the week of January 22. The college will offer nearly 1,200 classes during the spring semester, including approximately 200 online and more than 100 at the Lompoc Valley Center.

Winter and spring class schedules are accessible through www.hancockcollege.edu; select the Class Search link on the home page. Class Search provides real-time information available 24/7. You can search by term, subject, time, location or credits, among other options.

Priority registration for both winter and spring classes begins Tuesday, November 13. Priority registration is given to qualified students, such as learning assistance students, active members and veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces, student-athletes and students who have completed 50-100 credits. New students who completed the assessment tests, an academic advising workshop and the new student orientation before November 13 are also eligible for priority registration.

Open registration for all students begins on Sunday, November 18.

High school students enrolled in the College Now! program will be able to register for pre-approved classes beginning on Monday, November 26.

Free print copies of the winter and spring 2019 Schedule at a Glance will be available in the coming weeks at all college locations and local public libraries in the Santa Maria, Lompoc and Santa Ynez valleys and the Five Cities area, while supplies last. The schedule contains a basic listing of credit classes at the time of publication. However, all students should use the online Class Search for real-time information and details.

New students and those without a user name and password must first apply for admission to the college, which is a quick and easy process, before registering for classes. Select Apply to Hancock, located on the college’s home page, to get started.

Registration for all Allan Hancock College classes is available around the clock via the myHancock portal linked in the upper right section of the college’s homepage at www.hancockcollege.edu. Log in to the portal, select Students, then Registration/Add/Drop, located in the Registration section.
