- Log into the Hancock Portal
- Go to the AIM page. You will see that in the “Home” menu, you will always start on “My Dashboard”.
- Your Dashboard will default to the screen to request your accommodations for each class
- Check next to each class that you would like to request accommodations for. Click Step 2-Continue to Customize Your Accommodations.
- The next screen will let you select your accommodations. Most students will check the Testing Accommodations box.
- Click “Submit Your Accommodation Requests”. This will send an email to your instructor with your accommodation information. You can also see the PDF for your testing accommodation form by selecting the class and clicking "Generate PDF" after you have submitted the form electronically to see what is sent to your instructors.
- Find the Box that says “Printing Faculty Notification Letter in PDF” [at the top of the Overview page]
- Select a course from the “Select Class” drop-down menu
- Click “Generate PDF”
- If your computer asks if you want to open the PDF file, select yes
- Once you have an open PDF file, select "print" to print the letter
- Repeat for each of your classes
- Go to your Overview page and scroll down to your list of classes/accommodations
- Find the class you wish to modify
- Click the blue “Modify Request” option on the right hand side of the gray bar
- Select/de-select the boxes of the accommodations you want for this course
- Click “Update Request”
- Your request will be reviewed and approved in approximately 24 hours (longer if submitted over a weekend or holiday)
- Go to your Overview page and scroll down to your list of classes/accommodations.
- Find the class you wish to cancel
- Click the red “Cancel Request” option on the right hand side of the gray bar
- Your request will be reviewed and approved in approximately 24 hours (longer if submitted over a weekend or holiday)
- Look in your left hand side tool bar under “My Accommodations” to find “Alternative Testing”
- Click “Alternative Testing”
- In the select class drop down menu, select the class for which you would like to schedule an exam
- Click “Schedule and Exam”
- Complete the “Exam Detail” form with the details of your request
- Enter the time that you will be taking the exam. Do not use the “exam length (specified by student)” box, unless the professor has indicated that this exam is of a different length than they indicated on their testing contract
- Select the boxes for the accommodations you will need for this exam
- Click “Add Exam Request”
- Your request will be reviewed and approved, or a rescheduling option sent, in approximately 24 hours (longer if submitted over a weekend or holiday)
- Exams can be submitted as far in advance as you would like. Final exams will not be approved until we make the final exam schedule during the last week of the semester.
- Look in your left hand side tool bar under “My Accommodations” to find “Alternative Testing”
- Click “Alternative Testing”
- Find the exam you wish to cancel under “Upcoming Exams Request(s) for the Current Term”
- Click the red “Cancel Request” option on the right hand side
- Your request will be reviewed and approved in approximately 24 hours (longer if submitted over a weekend or holiday)
