Remembering Patty Boyd
Patricia “Patty” Boyd taught piano in the Santa Maria Valley for 50 years until just a few years before her passing at the age of 92 in 2012. An avid supporter of the arts, and as the granddaughter of one of Santa Maria’s founding families, she left Allan Hancock College $13 million—including $10 million for a new recital hall that was completed just this year.
