Announcement to all 2024-25 financial aid applicants

The Department of Education has announced there is a delay in sending FAFSA 2024-25 student application information to educational institutions across the United States. This has meant financial aid offices across the country including Allan Hancock College have not been able to package and send financial aid offers for the 2024-25 academic year like they normally would. Unfortunately, Allan Hancock College Students are facing the same dilemma that thousands of students across the country are facing in trying to review their financial aid offer letters to make informed decisions about their college journey.

While the delay in the release of the 2024-25 FAFSA presents challenges for our students, it's crucial to approach the situation with patience and resilience. The Allan Hancock College Financial Aid office is committed to keeping our students informed and communicating with the public as students navigate this period of uncertainty. At AHC, we will be emailing students to their myHancock e-mail as soon as their 2024-25 student records are received and downloaded into our system. Students will also receive an e-mail once there is an award offer available for them to review in their myHancock portal.

We also wanted you to be assured that students at AHC are not currently being dropped for non-payment. This means that you can register for courses without the fear that you are going to be dropped from your classes if your financial aid award has not been packaged yet. Even with the delays in processing, we still HIGHLY encourage all students to complete their Financial Aid applications as soon as possible to avoid any further delays in receiving information. Should you have any question, please reach out to the financial aid office. We are here to help!
