Allan Hancock College has accepted the White House COVID-19 College Vaccine Challenge!

Allan Hancock College has joined colleges and universities across the country to help reduce the spread of COVID-19 by offering a $250 Visa gift card to students who show proof of having received a full COVID-19 vaccination as part of the White House COVID-19 College Vaccine Challenge!

Gift cards are being provided on a first come, first served basis through Friday, April 1, 2022 depending on semester enrolled. The vaccine incentive will continue through the Spring 2022 semester for any fully vaccinated Spring 2022 enrolled students who have NOT already received a Visa Gift Card.

To receive a $250 Visa gift card, you MUST be a registered Allan Hancock student for the fall 2021 semester, provide proof of full vaccination, and any photo ID with your name on it to the Santa Maria campus or the Lompoc Valley Center. The purpose of this program is to assist in reducing the spread of COVID-19 through community vaccination. Please note, Allan Hancock College is requiring students to be fully vaccinated by October 1, 2021 to take in-person classes.

Fall 2021 Semester:

To receive a $250 Visa gift card, you MUST be a registered Allan Hancock student for the fall 2021 semester, provide proof of full vaccination, and any photo ID with your name on it to the Santa Maria campus or the Lompoc Valley Center.  Fall 2021 gift cards are available August 24, 2021 through Friday, December 10, 2021.

Spring 2022 Semester:

To receive a $250 Visa gift card, you MUST be a registered Allan Hancock student for the spring 2022 semester, provide proof of full vaccination, and any photo ID with your name on it to the Santa Maria campus or the Lompoc Valley Center. You also cannot have already received a Visa Gift Card in the Fall semester. Spring 2022 gift cards will be available beginning Monday, February 7, 2022 through Friday, April 1, 2022.

Allan Hancock College is offering free vaccination clinics, check out more information below.

Note: You must have both doses of the Pfizer/Moderna vaccine OR a single Johnson & Johnson vaccine displayed on your vaccination card or the digital vaccination record to meet the full vaccination requirement.

  1. Log onto your student portal
  2. Click on the "Health Portal Icon"
  3. Click on "Document Upload" in the blue bar at the top of the page
  4. Upload your Vaccine Card document from your device
  5. Click "Save"

Bring your proof of vaccination and photo ID to the following locations Cashier’s Office Hours (Santa Maria campus and Lompoc Valley Center):

  • Santa Maria: Cashiering window in Building A during normal business hours
  • Lompoc: Admissions & Records window in Building 1 during normal busines hours

Please note, only one $250 gift card is permitted per student.

Yes! All currently enrolled students in non-credit and credit-bearing courses are able to receive the $250 gift card upon proof of full vaccination.

No, the gift card will not impact your financial aid. We will keep record of your H Number, but this will not impact your financial aid package.

Yes, College Now and Concurrent Enrollment students are eligible to receive a $250 Visa Gift card upon proof of full vaccination starting October 4th.

Online learners are eligible to receive a $250 VISA Gift card upon proof of full vaccination.  However you will need to come to the Santa Maria or Lompoc campus to pick up your card.

Unfortunately, no. We are currently unable to provide $250 Visa gift cards to unvaccinated students regardless of health or personal reasons. The funding for this program is to assist in reducing the spread of COVID-19 through community vaccination.
