Special Notes: University of La Verne will accept the IGETC pattern also, so if considering transferring to a UC as well, follow the IGETC pattern instead of the CSU General Education pattern. If considering transferring to a CSU, you must satisfy the U.S. History & American Ideals requirement. You may also choose to follow the University of La Verne's institutional general education/breadth pattern in lieu of CSU or IGETC GE. See a University of La Verne academic advisor for information on this pattern.

Admission Tips
Completing a minimum of 28 transferrable semester units is recommended for admission. Students with less than 28 units should consult a University of La Verne academic advisor before applying. University of La Verne will accept up to 84 semester units towards their bachelors degree. It is a good idea to see a University of La Verne academic advisor once you have completed 50 to 60 units, if not before then. Apply for financial aid between January 1 and March 2 prior to transfer if you can. Start researching scholarships early. If you are following the CSU GE or IGETC pattern, make sure you are fully certified prior to enrolling at the University of La Verne.

Allan Hancock College counselors are committed to providing students with quality transfer planning information. This pathway has been developed using a variety of resources provided by the four-year university. It is not an admission guarantee, but a recommendation intended to provide students with clear information about courses that they will need to take in order to successfully transfer. Every effort has been made to make this pathway as accurate as possible; however, it is ultimately the student's responsibility to stay aware of changes that may affect his or her transfer. Because of the dynamic nature of articulation information and admission policies, information provided within this pathway is subject to change.

"The EMT program here has helped me establish the training and education necessary to succeed. As an EMT, I need to be prepared to handle each situation in a professional manner and at this academy they help train you in order to deal with these situations. The teachers here are great- they are able to share and relay their experiences in order to train us to deal with the different situations that we're going to encounter."
