START Test Dates

AHC START & ESL START Testing Dates - November 2012

A reservation is not required.  Walk-in any time after the doors open, but be here before they close at the end time listed.  If you need to take both the English and math tests we recommend that you allow at least 2 hours.

PREPARE for the START Test! Watch a 5-minute video by clicking on the picture of the Testing Center on the top right of your screen.

Students taking the test for a college other than AHC will be charged a proctoring fee and will need to bring a check for $35 payable to AHC at the time of testing.
The test is free only for students who are planning to attend AHC.

Santa Maria Campus

On Nov. 1, START testing is still in Bldg. T. Beginning November 13, students should use Entrance #1 on Bradley Rd. and park in Lot #3. Enter the new Student Services bldg. and take the elevator to the 2nd floor. Exit to your left and walk across the walkway to the Testing Center in A2-406.

"Deciding to go back to school to learn English and obtain my GED has been one of the most important decisions I ever made. My credit ESL instructors guided and helped me to adjust to my new life as a student. They understood me as a student and as a person.
