Summer Registration Now Under Way

Classes begin June 16.

APRIL 28, 2014 -- Registration for Allan Hancock College summer 2014 credit classes is now under way.  Priority Registration continues through May 2.  Open Registration begins May 3.  Most four-, six- and eight-week credit classes, as well as Community Education (noncredit) classes, begin the week of June 16.

The chart below identifies the students eligible for priority or designated registration and also provides other registration and semester information.

  Day 1:
  April 28, 2014, 8 a.m.

  • Pre-approved nursing students
  • Approved Learning Assistance volunteer note takers
  • Approved Student Athletes
  • Students participating in CAN/TRIO, MESA or Bridges to the Baccalaureate (BttB) programs, if they have a Student Education Plan (SEP) on file
  • Students who have completed 50-100 credits

  Day 2:
  April 29, 2014, 8 a.m.

  • Students who have completed 30-49.5 credits
  • New students (defined as one who has never attended or registered at any postsecondary educational institution)

  Day 3:
  April 30, 2014, 8 a.m.

  • Students who have completed 12-29.5 credits

  Day 4: May 1, 2014, 8 a.m.

  • Students who have completed .5-11.5 credits

  Day 5: May 2, 2014, 8 a.m.

  Open Registration

 

  • Students who have completed more than 100 credits *
  • Community Education students
  • All other eligible students

  Day 6: May 3, 2014, 8 a.m.

  College Now! students

  Two weeks prior to start of 
  classes: June 2-15, 2014

  *Students who have more than 100 credits and meet established criteria may be eligible to appeal for priority registration.  Go to www.hancockcollege.edu and click Apply & Register on the home page, then click Appeal for Priority Registration located under Register for Classes.


Registration also begins May 3 for students enrolling in Community Education’s noncredit, fee-based and College for Kids classes.  

All students register online through the myHancock portal.  Access the portal by clicking the Apply and Register link on the AHC website home page at www.hancockcollege.edu.  From the portal home page click the Student tab, then Register/Add/Drop/Search Classes in the My Registration channel.

New students wishing to enroll in summer credit classes must first apply for admission to the college.  Visit www.hancockcollege.edu and click theApply & Register link.
