AHC Concert Band Performance to Feature Tribute to Veterans

Nov. 9 in Santa Maria

NOVEMBER 1, 2013 -- The Allan Hancock College Concert Band will present its second concert of the season Saturday, Nov. 9, at 7:30 p.m.  It will take place at First Baptist Church, 2970 Santa Maria Way, in Santa Maria. 

This concert will feature patriotic music in a tribute to veterans, along with seasonal favorites.  Numbers include:

  • “A Patriotic Salute,” by James Hosay
  • “Beyond the Horizon,” by Rossano Galante
  • "Thine alabaster Cities Gleam" by Jerry Brubaker
  • “Broad Stripes and bright Stars,” by Robert Longfield
  • “Armed Forces Salute,” arranged by Bob Lowden
  • “House of Horrors (A Medley of Spooky Music),” arranged by Tom Wallace
  • “The Music of James Bond,” arranged by Jay Bocook
  • “When the Saints Go Marching In,” arranged by Naohiro Iwai
  • “Selections from South Pacific,” by Richard Rogers, arranged by E. Leidzen
  • “The Chimes of Liberty,” by Edwin Franko Goldman, arranged by L. Schillel
