Online Classes Offer Students Flexibility and Convenience

Registration is under way.

MAY 3, 2013 -- Ninety-eight online credit classes are being offered at Allan Hancock College this summer.  Online classes offer flexibility and convenience – the main reasons they have grown to be such a popular option.

Nearly 200 other summer classes are being offered on site at the Santa Maria campus and the Lompoc Valley and Vandenberg AFB centers.

Details about all summer classes are available at www.hancockcollege.edu; click the Class Search link on the home page.  Class Search provides real-time information available 24/7.  For details about a specific class, click its blue CRN (Course Reference Number).

Summer online classes include accounting, administration of justice, agribusiness, anthropology, art, athletic training, biology, business, business information systems, business office technology, chemistry, computer science, dance, drama, early childhood studies, economics, emergency medical services, English, family and consumer science, film, fire technology, food science and nutrition, geography, health education, history, humanities, human services, Italian, math, music, nursing, personal development, philosophy, physical education, photography, physics, political science, psychology, sociology, Spanish, speech and welding.

Priority registration for summer credit classes continues through May 3.  Open registration begins May 4 for both credit and Community Education classes.  For registration details, see Admission & Registration Information.

All classes begin the week of June 17.  Six-week classes end July 24; eight-week classes end Aug. 7.

To register online, visit www.hancockcollege.edu and log on to the myHancock student portal.  Click the Student tab, then Register/Add/Drop/Search Classes.

All California residents pay a $46 per credit enrollment fee.  In addition, all students pay a $16 health fee for the summer term.  Students attending classes at the Santa Maria campus also pay up to $10 a year for the Student Center fee.  Other minimal fees may apply.
