Community Education Offers Classes This Fall in the Lompoc Valley

Courses inlcude GED preparation, clothing construction, art and more.

JUNE 26, 2013 -- This fall, Allan Hancock College will offer Community Education classes in the Lompoc Valley.  Classes at the Lompoc Valley Center include Preparing for the GED Tests, Beginning Clothing Construction, Quilting, English as a Second Language (Levels A, B, C, and D), Expressions in Colored Pencil, Digital Photography (Levels 1 and 2), and Introduction to Microsoft Word.

Classes are also offered in the Lompoc community at the Anderson Recreation Center which includes Intro to English as a Second Language (Levels A and B) and at the Dick Dewees Community & Senior Center which includes Painting in Oils and Acrylics.

Registration begins June 29; most classes begin the week of Aug. 19. 

To register online beginning June 29, visit www.hancockcollege.edu and click the Apply and Register link.  Select the Fall 2013 term, then Community Education and proceed.  Most Community Education classes are free; some require minimal materials fees.

Printed copies of the fall 2013 Spectrum Schedule of Community Education classes will be available June 27.  The catalog contains a basic listing of fall classes available at the time of publication.  Students are encouraged to access the online Class Search for more details and the most current list of class offerings.
