Fun Science Classes for Kids

for students ages 8-15

FEBRUARY 28, 2013 -- Allan Hancock College Community Education offers a College for Kids’ Electricity, Magnetism and Motion science class on Saturdays, March 9 and 16, from 9 a.m. to 2:55 p.m. on the Santa Maria campus, room M-201.  Young students ages 8-15 learn about basic electricity and magnetism and how to use multi-meters to measure electricity, then build and race a simple motor-and-gear vehicle.  March 9 is for ages 8-11, and March 16 is for ages 12-15.  The fee for the class is $30, plus a $9.50 materials fee.

S) on the Santa Maria campus.  Registration hours are Monday – Thursday from 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
