Spring Fast Track Classes Offer College at the Speed of Life!

Classes last eight weeks or less!

FEBRUARY 13, 2013 -- Do you need to know it – fast?  Learn how to pair wine and food, study anthropology, applied design and multimedia, child psychology and more – within the span of a few days or up to eight weeks – thanks to Allan Hancock College’s spring 2013 Fast Track/Term 4 classes.  These classes are popular with individuals who want or need to complete classes at a faster rate.

Fast Track classes meet eight weeks or less—many are only one or two days (or on weekends!) – and they begin throughout the semester.  Nine Fast Track classes begin in March.  Term 4 classes, which are part of the Fast Track program, are all eight weeks in length, but offer the credit of a full, semester-length class.  They begin the week of March 25.

More than 40 classes are still available and include physical and cultural anthropology, auto air conditioning, word processing, economics, business, early childhood studies, emergency medical services, freshman composition, applied design, multimedia lab, fire technology, psychology, sociology, speech, pairing wine and food, and more. Classes are offered at the Santa Maria campus, Lompoc Valley and Vandenberg AFB centers, and online.

Registration for eight-week Term 4 classes is now under way and continues through March 29.  Registration for Fast Track classes is taken up to the day prior to the start of class.

All students register online via myHancock, which is accessed from the college’s website at www.hancockcollege.edu; click the Student tab, then Register/Add/Drop/Search Classes

For class details, click the Class Search link on the home page and search for classes beginning in March.  Other search options include subject, location, instructor, number of credits and more.

New students and those without a user name and password must first apply for admission to the college before registering for classes.  To access the online admission application, click Apply & Register and then select the appropriate admission form.

For more registration information, click Apply & Register, then Application & Registration Information.

The enrollment fee for California residents is $46 per unit, meaning a typical three-unit class costs $138.  Other minimal fees apply.
