Learn Chinese Language in Community Education Classes

Two classes are offered this fall.

AUGUST 7, 2013 -- Allan Hancock College Community Education offers classes for students who would like to learn or continue learning the Chinese language.

Intro to Chinese Language/Culture will teach you how to speak, read and write Mandarin Chinese at a basic level, as well as learn cultural aspects of China and its people.  The class meets Thursdays, Aug. 22 – Oct. 10, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the AHC Santa Maria campus, Room S-112.  The fee is $96; course number is 21520.

If you already have some knowledge of the Chinese language and want to learn more skills, Intro to Chinese Language/Culture II is a conversational class that also focuses on the Mandarin Chinese Pinyin Romanization system as a tool for learning Chinese using simplified characters.  The class meets Thursdays, Oct.17 – Dec. 5, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on the Santa Maria campus, Room S-112.  The fee is $84; course number is 21522.
