Allan Hancock College Concert Band to Perform Nov. 3
The Allan Hancock College Concert Band will present its second performance of the season on Saturday, Nov. 3, at 7:30 p.m., at the First Baptist Church in Santa Maria.
The band, led by director Greg Stoll, pictured above, will perform a wide variety of music, including:
- “Overture for Winds” by Charles Carter
- “themes from Offenbach” arranged by Clare Johnson
- “In Time of Triumph” by James Swearingen
- “Cotton Ferry Expedition” by Ralph Ford
- “Pavanne” by Morton Gould
- “Mancini! A Medley for Concert Band” by Henry Mancini, arranged by Alfred Reed
- “Guys and Dolls Overture” by Frank Loesser, arranged by Philip Lang
- “Zoot Suit Riot” by Steve Perry, arranged by John Moss
- “Bombasto March” by Orin Farrar, arranged by Andrew Balent
Tickets are $10 each for general admission and $5 each for seniors and Allan Hancock College staff, faculty and students. The church is located at 2970 Santa Maria Way.
