District Police Department
At Allan Hancock College, student success is our highest priority. As such, the Allan
Hancock College police department is dedicated to providing a safe environment where
learning can take place.
Throughout the district our police officers, support staff, and student parking control
workers, are committed to maintaining an attitude of collegiality and school spirit.
We are a community-oriented policing organization that strives to maintain working
partnerships with the diverse community groups that we protect and serve.
Members of our department value professionalism, focus on teamwork, exude pride in
their daily endeavors, encourage one another in vision, acknowledge accountability
to the college community, and expect to enjoy their working environment.
On behalf of the department, I invite you to browse our site and take advantage of
the public safety information contained herein. I also encourage you to visit our
department and greet our officers in the field. They are happy to work hand in hand
with members of the community simply because it is the way we do business.

"I came from Mexico at age17, which meant I not only had to learn English at a High School level, but had to prepare for college-level courses. During my first semesters at AHC I enrolled in ESL, and made extensive use of their writing lab, which I believe was critical in my transition to transfer level classes. Engineering is a difficult major on its own, but learning all those concepts and terminology while just getting out of ESL classes was a challenge. AHC professors, counselors and programs were key to my success."
