How do I know if I qualify for the CalWORKs program?
If you are a recipient of CalWORKs benefits, please contact our office for an appointment. Each situation is different and we want to meet with you to discuss your possible eligibility.
I am “Exempt” from participating in the Welfare to Work Program but I am attending or would like to attend Allan Hancock College. Will I qualify for the CalWORKs program at Allan Hancock College?
Yes, you may qualify for our program. Please make an appointment to discuss your specific situation.

"Allan Hancock College is giving me the opportunity to take the cosmetology courses I need to do hair and nails like I've always wanted. My classes are very hands-on and even when classes are full my instructors make time to be one-on-one with students. I think the instructors are attentive and it makes me want to get up and go to classes every day. I want to get my cosmetology license and my associate degree."
