Bridges Success Stories

Former Bridges Student

Cal Poly Student Luz Gomez

Bridges to the Baccalaureate opened a world of opportunities. As a Biology Major, I gained hands-on experience in biology and mechanical engineering. I met and worked with world-renowned professors at Cal Poly. They helped me feel comfortable and capable of working in a university setting which prepared me for a smooth transfer. It is very rare for an undergraduate student to work in a lab and get paid for it. I still hold those positions and I couldn't have excelled without support from Bridges. I am very fortunate to have been part of the program. Thank you Bridges!

Kinesiology Major

"My goal is to become a head athletic trainer at a four-year university. I know I am on the right path because of Hancock. I am able to take classes like human anatomy, physiology and two athletic training courses with great instructors. I am also able to be in the field with our athletic trainers to see them in action."
