Several internships from the local industry are offered to students every year, as
well as grants and scholarships.
Student Vineyard and Campus Winery
Our campus vineyard consists of 4 acres with more than 50 different varietals.
Primary varietals (main region cultivars) are:
Facilities are fully equipped with tractor and implements, Gator, etc. soon with greenhouse
equipped for vine and tree propagation.
Our campus winery has an estimated capacity of 2000 cases and also fully equipped
to perform all commercial winemaking activities.
AHC Viticulture and Enology Club
The Allan Hancock College Viticulture and Enology Club supports students who want
to learn more about wine appreciation and grape growing. The club coordinates winery
tours and vineyard events throughout the year.
This is an excellent opportunity for members to help maintain vines during the growing
season, harvest fruit and oversee the winemaking process from start to finish.
The AHCVE Club is a network between people who want to learn more about viticulture
and enology and those who can help educate others on the subject as well as a fun
opportunity to take part in an occasional tour or vineyard work day.
