ESL
English as a Second Language (for academic units of credit)
The credit ESL program prepares non-native speakers of English for academic study in English. The credit program offers semester-length courses in reading, writing, grammar, and listening/speaking skills at four levels: beginning, low intermediate, high intermediate, and advanced. Students who complete these credit courses often continue studying at the college to obtain skills for a new career, earn a certificate or degree, or prepare themselves to transfer to a university.
