Certification
Certification is through the California Dental Board. The certifying exam is usually held in August of each year. Upon completion of the dental assisting certificate requirements, students are then eligible to take the California Registered Dental Assistants Exam. This examination consists of two parts, a written and a practical exam. If this examination is successfully passed, students will become Registered Dental Assistants (RDA).
