6 million impressions per month, Mandy's is listed in the first page in a Google search
for film production. Five channels for tv/film production professionals are maintained
including a yellow pages of technicians and facilities, employer search database film/tv
freelance crew, casting database, current jobs in film / tv production, classifieds,
and a film market database of films and TV programs for sale.
Writer's Guild of America
Writers Guild of America, West (WGAW)is a labor union composed of the thousands of
writers who write the content for television shows, movies, news programs, documentaries,
animation, and Internet and mobile phones (new media) that keep audiences constantly
entertained and informed.wga.org is an online resource for WGA members and employers
offering education, tools, registration of material and more.
American Society of Cinematographers
The American Society of Cinematographers is a non-profit association dedicated to
advancing the art of filmmaking through education, regular publications and member
volunteerism. ASC membership is by invitation, based on an individual’s body of work.
The ASC also has more than 150 associate members; these individuals work in ancillary
sectors of the industry and are invited to join because of their contributions to
the art and craft of motion pictures.
In addition to its focus on education, the ASC is actively involved in the development of motion-picture technologies and also works to promote a better understanding of the cinematographer’s contributions to the filmmaking process.
American Cinema Editors
The ACE membership is committed to the encouragement of mutually-beneficial dialogue
with other members of the motion picture industry and to educating the general public.
The ACE publication the CINEMEDITOR made its initial appearance as the official magazine
of the society and is mailed to wide and varied group of subscribers. Since 1962 the
society has created and held the annual ACE Awards. Members nominate and vote for
best achievements in editing motion pictures and television. To become a member, number
of years served as an accredited editor, quality of credits and personal caliber are
all considered in the application process.
Society of Broadcast Engineers
The Society of Broadcast Engineers (SBE) is the only organization devoted to the
advancement of all levels and types of broadcast engineering. SBE provides a forum
for the exchange of ideas and the sharing of information to help you keep pace with
our rapidly changing industry. SBE amplifies the voices of broadcast engineers by
validating your skills with professional certification and offers educational opportunities
to maintain and expand those skills and by speaking out on technical regulatory issues
that affect how you work.
The DGA represents Film and Television Directors, Unit Production Managers, First Assistant Directors, Second Assistant Directors, Technical Coordinators and Tape Associate Directors, Stage Managers and Production Associates. Today, through the collective voice of more than 14,000 members that the DGA represents, the Guild seeks to protect directorial teams' legal and artistic rights, contend for their creative freedom, and strengthen their ability to develop meaningful and credible careers.
