Film & Video Production

Film & Video Production

Program Overview

Film and video production courses provide students with the necessary training to become camera operators, sound recordists and video editors. Most of the courses are transferrable to the UC and Cal State systems.

The Film and Video program at Allan Hancock Colleges affords students the opportunity to study the discipline with courses in three core areas:

  • Film/Video Production
  • Screenwriting
  • Film Studies

Students write, produce and edit narrative and documentary projects in a series of courses designed to bring students from beginning through intermediate production and post-production techniques.

AHC is proud to offer our students access to the latest in digital production and post-production technology.

"The AHC credit ESL program made it possible for me to get a job! I came here not knowing any English and within two years, I learned English well enough to be placed into English 101 and become an ESL tutor and instructional assistant in the Writing Center. Most importantly, I learned 'que si, se puede' that 'yes, you can!'"
