Program Overview

The Applied Design/Media curriculum covers a broad range of visual and audio mediums allowing you to apply the elements of art and design to multiple occupational areas of study.  The curriculum at Allan Hancock College is carefully designed to prepare you for employment or further education in the following concentrations:

Why choose a career in design or digital media?

Art is expanding into new and exciting directions.  Some of the fastest growing art careers are in fields like gaming, multimedia and website design.  In our ever-advancing culture of technology, competitive skills in audio, visual and digital arts are in higher demand than ever. 

Explore the associate in science degrees offered in animation, graphics, multimedia arts & communication, photography and certificate options in Web site design.  This exciting career pathway will prepare you to succeed in an industry that constantly changes as technology evolves.
