The Viticulture (grape cultivation) and Enology (wine production) program at Allan Hancock College offers a wide variety of classes. Whether you are working on your two-year or four-year degree or interested in learning more about this growing, important industry in the community, you will find courses that meet your needs.
Students in the viticulture classes help maintain two separate vineyards; one located on the Santa Maria Campus, and the other off Highway 101 in Los Alamos.
The enology classes include actual wine-making using grapes from the student vineyards and other sources. The program is fortunate to have the new use of the campus winery as a winery site.
Winery management, financial planning, marketing, and sales are included in the program.
