Alpha Gamma Sigma Santa Maria Chapter is in need of a Club Advisor! Alpha Gamma Sigma is an honorary statewide community college organization whose goal is to foster, maintain, promote, and recognize scholastic achievement and service by students at the local college level. February is Black History Month!
Check out the exhibit sponsored by ASBG in the Student Center Gallery, which is on view through February 25th. Provided courtesy of the Hudson Institute of African-American Heritage & Global Arts Museum, this exhibition features information on major figures in US and world history, technology, sports, and the humanities. The gallery wall is just inside the front doors of the Student Center, near the raised study area.
Blood Donations: United Blood Services will be on campus in front of the Santa Maria Student Center on Tuesday, February 23rd from 9am- 4pm.

The New Student Orientation: Feb 9 6 - 7 p.m. G 106A
The New Student Orientation offers important information for new or returning students. Learn about adding and withdrawing from a class, using the college calendar, planning and scheduling, college policies, and making the best use of Student Services.
The Student Education Plan Workshop: Feb 10 3 - 4 pm G 106 A
The Student Education Plan Workshop is available for students who have completed up to 15 units, who have only attended AHC, and are interested in a Lib Arts Degree.
Time Management Workshop: Feb 11 1 – 2pm G 106 B
Successful Student Workshop: Feb 16 12 – 1pm G 106B
The Successful Student Workshop assist those who have had difficulty completing courses or keeping grades above 2.00 GPA. This will offer study skills, time management, scheduling strategies, identifying priorities, and maximizing time at school.
Undecided Major Workshop: Feb 17 2 - 3 pm G106 B
For the student who would like additional assistance choosing a major and developing a career path.
Nursing Workshop: Feb 9 12 - 1 pm G 106A
This workshop offers vital information for students who are seeking to become a CNA, LVN, or RN.
The Annual Fine Arts Student Show
The Annual Fine Arts Student Show is showing in Foxworthy Gallery through Wednesday, March 3. Enjoy painting, sculpture, drawing, digital art, photography and more, all created by students from the Fine Arts department. A reception for the artists will be held on Thursday, February18, from 11:30am-1:00pm. The gallery is located in the ARC, Bldg. L-South, open 8:30am-7:30pm Monday through Thursday, and 8:30am-3pm Fridays.
